Length of time in industry: Three years in the ARM market. Thirty years in sales and the healthcare market. I sold IT solutions (including financial systems) to hospitals for Dell, McKesson, and others.
How did you get your start in the industry?
I was hired by IC as they were looking for someone with in-depth understanding of healthcare and software solutions.
What is your career highlight so far?
Securing accounts that successfully use our entire suite of solutions — dialer, consumer portal, pay by phone, email, text, and chat.
When or how are you most productive?
When I can build a relationship with the account and key decision makers to be a partner.
Which industry professional do you admire most?
Besides Mike Gibb? Aaron Reiter. He is expanding his presence in the market very well.
What is one thing you do better than everyone else?
Build relationships.
What do you like most about this industry?
The people. When I first started in the ARM market, I thought like many others it would not be as professional as it is. Really great sincere people in this market

Its perception, especially by regulators and legal organizations, as to the value ARM provides and the way we conduct business.

Selling other software solutions into the hospital market.
Describe a typical work day.
When working from home office and not traveling, the majority of the day involves marketing IC via emails, LinkedIn, webinars, and calls. Usually have demos/calls set to discuss our systems use and value with agencies. Prep and follow-up to conferences like ACA, RMAi, and others.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Watching music videos/concerts. I try to have a DVD of every group/performer of every concert I have been to.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care … listen

I am a small town Midwestern boy at heart, but with 40 years in Dallas
