How did you get your start in the industry?
I started out as a part-time student employee during my senior year of high school! I did data entry, filing, and emptied garbage cans.
What is your career highlight so far?
Being selected as ACA Unit Leader of the Year in 2019.
When or how are you most productive?
I am most productive under deadlines and by writing things down in my day planner.
Which industry professional do you admire most?
Roger Weiss — he is funny and so giving with his knowledge and time to others in the industry.
What is one thing you do better than everyone else?
I am good at being decisive and problem solving.
What do you like most about this industry?
The relationships.
What is one thing you wish you could change about this industry?
The stigma that debt collectors are the “bad guys.” It’s important and continuous work to push back against.
Describe a typical work day.
It always starts with coffee! Other than that, it really depends on the day! I like having flexibility and that the day is not always the same.
If you weren’t in this industry, what would you be doing?
Lobbying for issues important to me — like education policy.
