The CBE Group is taking over a call center that used to be used by Convergys is Clarksville, Tenn., and plans to create 500 new jobs in the area, according to published reports.
About half of the jobs are expected to be created in 2021 and the company is expected to start recruiting new hires immediately. Employment opportunities are going to be available for as soon as next month, according to a report. The jobs are being welcome and hailed by local officials, who said that the unemployment rate in the area has had unemployment rates in the double digits this year, largely as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I am excited to welcome another growing business to our community,” said Frank Tate, executive director of the Montgomery, County (Tenn.) We welcome CBE to Clarksville and thank them for choosing to join in our growth and prosperity,” said City of Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts.
