CHICAGO — April 6 — CMS Services, a leading provider of compliance management services to the Accounts Receivable Management industry, is excited to announce the launch of its Bank Terms & Conditions portal, providing copies of the terms and conditions issued by hundreds of credit grantors and financial institutions nationwide from each quarter dating back to 2011. The portal offers complete copies of the different terms and conditions that were collected and published by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in an easy-to-navigate website that is free for anyone to access.

The site can be accessed by going to www.cms-services.net, clicking on “Login” at the top-right of the screen and selecting Bank Terms & Conditions. New users will need to complete a sign-up process and validate their email address to gain access to the database.

In many situations, companies in the ARM industry are attempting to collect on unpaid debts but are not provided with the underlying terms and conditions that are associated with those debts. Bank Terms & Conditions offers users a comprehensive database of agreements to help mitigate risks and ensure a compliant and professional collection process.

“Managing a compliant collection process is becoming more difficult by the day,” said Irwin Bernstein, the founder and chief executive officer of CMS Services. “Taking this information that the CFPB makes available and aggregating it in a straightforward online database offers companies in the ARM industry an important resource and tool they can use to augment their compliance management systems and fill a much-needed gap in the collection process.”

Bank Terms & Conditions is completely free and available to anyone who signs up to access the database. There is no charge to search the database or to download any of the agreements that are included in the portal. The objective of the database is to provide companies in the ARM industry with a resource they can use to more fully demonstrate their access to, and understanding of,  the terms and conditions of the agreements entered into between consumers and the various financial institutions.

“This is not about profit,” Bernstein said. “This is about providing creditability for the industry and helping industry members fill in an important piece of the collection puzzle that is all-too-often missing from the files they receive.”
