The starter course for U.S. Bank's new foodie-focused credit card just got more filling.

Two months after its debut, the U.S. Bank Altitude® Go Visa Signature® Card is sweetening its sign-up bonus — and among other $0-annual-fee cards, it's now one of the richest welcome offers available.

New applicants will be eligible for the following: Earn 25,000 bonus points when you spend $1,000 in eligible purchases within the first 90 days of account opening. That's a $250 value redeemable towards merchandise, gift cards, cash back, travel and more. That’s a 5,000-point boost from its original offer at launch. Points are worth a penny each, so the new bonus represents a $250 value redeemable toward cash back, travel, gift cards and merchandise, although minimum redemption requirements apply.

Other no-annual-fee cards like the Wells Fargo Propel American Express® card and the Capital One SavorOne Cash Rewards Credit Card feature welcome offers for new cardholders, but they’re not as lucrative.

The U.S. Bank Altitude® Go Visa Signature® Card will continue to earn ongoing rewards at the following rates:

  • 4 points per $1 spent on dining, including takeout and delivery.

  • 2 points per $1 spent at grocery stores (including grocery delivery), gas stations and on eligible streaming services.

  • 1 point per $1 spent on all other eligible purchases.
